Stolt-Nielsen continues to battle with low tanker rates

The low rates on chemical tankers continue to plague Stolt-Nielsen. The bottom line in the first quarter of 2017 was halved relative to the same period in 2016. The decline comes at a point where the carrier is considering spinning off from Stolt Tankers.

Norwegian shipping group Stolt-Nielsen continues to battle a tough chemical tanker market, and therefore the bottom line declined in the first quarter of 2017. This is half relative to the same period last year, according to the recently published report.
