DFDS on track to improving last year's record result

DFDS grew in the first quarter 2017 on revenue as well as earnings compared to the same period 2016. "Combined with a continued positive outlook for growth in Europe, we are on track in 2017 to further improve on the all-time high results of last year," says CEO Smedegaard.

DFDS delivered growth yet again in the first quarter as the Danish group improved its revenue as well as its result.

Revenue in the first quarter grew to DKK 3.22 billion (USD 471.2 million) from DKK 3.08 billion in the first quarter 2016, corresponding to a four percent growth. The result before taxes grew ten percent from DKK 157 million before taxes in the first quarter last year to DKK 173 million (USD 25.3 million) before taxes in the first quarter this year.
