Ship manager Otto Danielsen secures first deal with equity fund

The new Otto Danielsen, with Jens Grønning and Søren Andersen as partners, has bagged its first deal for the business and has thus exceeded its own expectations. "One clearly feels the lack of bank financing in the sector," they tell ShippingWatch.

Banks are becoming increasingly reticent and are reducing their exposure to shipping, and they are similarly setting strict conditions for customers among carriers and shipping companies – a fact that has been clearly notable for Danish ship management firm Otto Danielsen.
