Rickmers in firesale of MPP vessels to Zeaborn

Hard-hit Rickmers Holding is selling five Superflex Heavy Lift ships for an undisclosed price to the Zeaborn Group, which acquired the Ricmkers-Linie activities earlier this year.

German multi-purpose group Zeaborn, which took over operations of Rickmers-Linie earlier this year, has bought five vessels from struggling Rickmers Holding, informs Zeaborn in a press release Tuesday.

The five vessels of 30,000 dwt each, Supeflex Heavy Lift vessels, are all sister vessels to Rickmers Hamburg, which Zeaborn bought from Rickmers back in April of this year.
