Blackrock considers investing in South Korean HMM

US asset manager Blackrock is considering investing in South Korea's largest container carrier, report several media.

Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM), South Korea's largest container carrier after Hanjin Shipping's bankruptcy last year, is negotiating with US asset manager Blackrock for a capital injection of up to USD 880 million, reports Reuters, referring to Korea Economic Daily which has spoken with sources in the investment and maritime industries.
