Ships can now use printed propellers

In the future, ships will be able to use propellers printed on a 3D printer. The world's first prototype and class certified propeller is a reality, and another one will now be printed and likely installed on a vessel.

Going forward, ships will likely be fitted with numerous elements made on 3D printers. The world's first prototype of a printed and class certified ship propeller is now a reality, writes shipbuilder Damen in a press release.
