Panalpina projects problems for shipowners ahead of sulfur regulations

Logistics company Panalpina now sees a risk of increased costs when the upcoming sulfur regulations come into force next year. A lack of standards for low-sulfur fuel raises concerns.

While the rules for ships' sulfur emissions are set, the situation is entirely different when it comes to standards for the more environmental fuels that will make up a large part of the mix, says logistics major Panalpina in an update to its customers.
