DSV chairman sees one major obstacle once the acquisition hunt begins

DSV's next acquisition target could very well be a Deutsche Bahn-owned road transporter, according to investment bank. But the logistics giant must first remove a massive barrier before road acquisitions become relevant, says chairman.

DSV Panalpina is to grow, and grow within road transport. But several pieces need to fall into place before the logistics company can make any new acquisitions, says DSV Chair Thomas Plenborg.

Plenborg's statement follows analyst speculation on what company DSV Panalpina intends to pursue as its next acquisition target.

3i buys AMP out of Esvagt

Private equity firm 3i, which owns half of carrier Esvagt, has agreed with the company's second owner, AMP Capital, to take over all of Esvagt for GBP 268 million, making 3i the sole owner. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2022.
