Maersk acquires LF Logistics in billion-dollar transaction

A.P. Møller-Maersk has just announced the takeover of Hongkong-based LF Logistics. "The acquisition is an important and truly strategic milestone," says Maersk CEO Søren Skou.

Maersk has reached an agreement to acquire 100 percent of the shares in LF Logistics Holdings Limited in an all-cash deal, the Danish transportation and logistics company announes Wednesday morning, Copenhagen time.

LF Logistics is described as a strongly positioned Asia-Pacific-based "omnichannel fulfilment contract logistics company," and according to Maersk, the acquisition will strengthen its capabilities as an integrated container logistics company further, offering global end-to-end supply chain solutions to its customers.
