Carriers may end up sailing around Shanghai – DHL reports disruptions

The weeks-long Covid lockdown of major city Shanghai, housing the world’s biggest container port, causes sea transport delays, says DHL Global Forwarding to ShippingWatch. Analysts fear that more carriers will skip the port if lockdown continues.

Although there are signs of the Chinese authorities loosening the strict Covid-19 lockdown of Shanghai, which houses the largest container port in the world, the weeks-long shutdown of the major city will lead to delays within sea transportation.
