Prosecutor: Criminal Maersk employees smuggled cocaine to Europe

Several Maersk dockworkers in Costa Rica are charged with smuggling cocaine to Europe. Trade union wants Maersk kicked out of the country, but Maersk says it is up against ”ruthless criminals.”

Six employees at the Maersk-owned port APM Terminals Moín in Costa Rica have been charged with smuggling cocaine to Europe. According to the country’s public prosecutor, they formed a ”criminal group dedicated to international cocaine trafficking.” The dockworkers’ union accuses Maersk of ”grossly failing” and wants to kick the Maersk company out of the country.
