Maersk disappointed by lack of short-term solutions at IMO

The world's largest container shipping line, Maersk, is not "satisfied with the lack of progress" in the IMO regarding CO2 emission reductions, the company's head of sustainability strategy tells ShippingWatch.

Maersk acknowledges the IMO's efforts in promoting regulations on new container ships, but the world's largest liner company also aims criticism of the UN's maritime organization for lacking proposals for how the shipping industry can reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the short term.
