The US will impose a 5 percent tariff on all Mexican goods from June 10. From then, the tariffs will slowly increase until illegal migration from Mexico to the US has stopped, wrote the US president, Donald Trump, on Twitter Thursday:

"The United States will impose a 5 percent tariff on all goods coming into our country from Mexico, until such a time as illegal migrants coming through Mexico, and into our country, stop. The tariff will gradually increase until the illegal immigration problem is remedied," writes Trump.
