Reducing shipping's emission of greenhouse gases remains a top priority at the UN's International Maritime Organization, IMO, asserts Secretary General Kitack Lim in a letter sent to several NGOs.

The NGOs have raised concerns as to whether the coronavirus outbreak and not least the postponement of crucial meetings in the environmental committee could risk undermining years of work.
