Danish shipping wants to be climate-neutral by 2050

Denmark's maritime interest group Danish Shipping has a clear ambition to become climate-neutral in 30 years. The entire domestic shipping cluster thereby falls in line with Maersk.

All Danish shipping companies must be climate-neutral by 2050, asserts Jacob Meldgaard, chairman of association Danish Shipping, during the interest group's annual general meeting held on Thursday.

So far, container major Maersk has been actively announcing its climate ambition, the same ambition that now applies to the rest of the Danish cluster, Meldgaard explains in an interview with ShippingWatch.
