
Commodity trading major Trafigura proposes to introduce a CO2 tax of between USD 250-300 per ton CO2.
In a proposal to the UN's International Maritime Organization, IMO, ahead of an upcoming meeting in the organization's environmental committee in November, Trafigura now warns that the shipping industry need to take "drastic" measures if the industry is to comply with its target to lower emissions.
