Shipowners call on EU to support Denmark in the fight against piracy

Denmark's Minister of Defense receives support from both the German Shipowners' Association, VDR, and ECSA for the decision to deploy a frigate in the pirate-plagued Gulf of Guinea off West Africa. They call on the EU and its member states to support the action. Updated.

The Danish government's decision to deploy a Danish frigate equipped with aircraft and special operations forces in the pirate-plagued Gulf of Guinea, receives full support from the German Shipowners' Association, VDR and the European Community Shipowners' Association.
