Orders for ships with alternative fuel systems have doubled in two years

With this year's Maritime Forecast to 2050, DNV reports that the number of vessels on order with alternative fuel systems in 2021 have doubled since 2019. The classification bureau also launches a new model to help shipowners map their path to sustainability.

Global classification company DNV has published this year's Maritime Forecast to 2050 report, which shows that the number of newbuilds with alternative fuel systems have doubled from 2019.
