IEA warns world isn't investing enough for future energy needs

More investments in sustainable energy such as solar and wind power are needed to meet the world's future energy demand. "There is a looming risk of more turbulence for global energy markets," says head of the International Energy Agency.

The world is failing to invest in energy on the scale needed to escape catastrophic climate change and avoid sharp increases in fossil fuel prices, the International Energy Agency warned.
