Ukraine conflict has Denmark calling frigate home from piracy mission

Danish frigate Esbern Snare is to withdraw from the Gulf of Guinea, says Denmark’s defense minister. The ship is to take part in the larger force that NATO has requested the nation prepare in contribution to conflict resolution in and around Ukraine.

Frigate Esbern Snare is to withdraw from the Gulf of Guinea immediately and enter the force that NATO has asked Denmark to contribute in connection with the conflict in Ukraine, says Danish Minister of Defence Morten Bødskov after an extraordinary meeting in the Foreign Policy Committee held on Friday.
