EU Commission proposes complete phase out of Russian oil and gas by 2030

As the debate on Russian import rages on in Europe, the EU’s executive branch proposes to make the union completely independent from Russian fossil fuels within the next eight years. ”We simply cannot rely on a supplier who explicitly threatens us,” stressed Ursula von der Leyen.
