EU Commission questions next steps for a shipping green fund

Shipping companies’ desire to earmark three fourths of the future income from the European Union’s Emissions Trading System (ETS) as well as funds coming from potential penalties for non-compliance with the FuelEU Maritime proposal for financing shipping’s green transformation, could prove difficult to fulfil in practice.
