
A risk assessment of the four alternative fuels liquefied natural gas (LNG), hydrogen, methanol and ammonia shows that one of them under certain conditions is so dangerous that the risk is categorized as unacceptably high.
It is the so-called Together in Safety coalition that has conducted the comparison of the four fuels, which have been chosen to represent the main part of the shipping industry’s green transformation.

A VAT dispute in Latvia has now left ferry operator DFDS with millions of kroner in extra costs and a future of navigating a bureacratic minefield.
