Seaspan wants central CII clause settled – “It's really becoming urgent”

CII: The world’s leading owner of container ships, Seaspan, calls for Bimco to land a standard clause for regulation of responsibility for the new CII rules between shipowner and operator in relation to time-charter contracts. “It’s really becoming urgent,” says Seaspan to ShippingWatch.

Shipowners and operators are currently struggling with adjusting contracts and time-charter agreements to make it clear how responsibility for the upcoming CII climate regulation, which enters force from the turn of the year, can be legally divided between parties.
