It will take more than one new fuel if shipping is to reach climate goal by 2050

Until halfway through the next decade, shipping will have to operate with several different alternative fuel solutions. Not until then will the best match for the sector’s needs be more clear, according to CTO of research center.

3,000 vessels, of which a large portion will be of the most fuel-consuming types – approx. 1,300 container ships, 300 dry cargo vessels and 200 tankers.
