EU considers capping Russian fuel prices at USD 100 a barrel

With less than ten days until sanctions on refined petroleum products from Russia will be implemented, the EU is allegedly contemplating a price cap on the nation’s diesel at USD 100 per barrel.

The European Union is floating a plan to cap the price of Russian diesel at USD 100 a barrel — a level that might help to stave off the very worst effects of a fuel-imports ban that the bloc will impose on Moscow in just ten days’ time.
