US wants to cut CO2 emissions from global shipping by 96 percent in 2040

There is a mere 100 days till the next climate meeting at IMO wherein there will be talks of a complete elimination of CO2 emissions by 2050.

The International Maritime Organization (IMO) is actually meant to just make revision of the plan that was agreed upon in April 2018 – namely how shipping can reduce its CO2 emissions heading towards 2050.
