International partnership will test CO2 capture on tanker

A consortium of international shipping actors has been approved for a pilot project on capturing greenhouse gases from commercial shipping.

Sweden’s Stena Bulk has joined, among others, Singapore’s Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonisation (GCMD) and the Oil and Gas Climate Initiative (OGCI), the climate initiative from the oil and gas industry, in a collaboration on testing CO2 capturing on one of Stena’s tankers.
