Researchers: New skills are needed at IMO to reach climate goals

Meeting participants with more than technical knowledge are needed if the IMO is to adopt a tax on fossil fuels, researchers say.

Two critical researchers believe that the International Maritime Organization (IMO) should invite new and different participants to its environmental meetings if it is to truly succeed in speeding up the green transition of shipping.
