EU climate requirements for aviation increase competition for green fuels

The European Parliament has decided that aircraft in the EU must use a growing proportion of green fuels from 2025. This will give shipping a competitor in pursuit of green fuels.

The European Parliament has adopted new requirements for aviation fuel, which means that from 2025, aircraft in the EU will have to use a growing proportion of sustainable fuels.
