Maersk suspends shipping in several locations on the Amazon River

Drought is creating critical conditions in the Amazon, forcing Maersk to cease shipping operations in several places.

The drought in the smaller rivers around the Amazon River has forced Maersk, among others, to suspend parts of their shipping in the area, Maersk writes on Friday in a statement on their website.
