Europe's drug war could spread from key ports

Belgian authorities want to increase scanning of containers, but such measures can push drug crime away from the major ports and further out into Europe, Børsen writes.

Drug smuggling into Europe is currently concentrated around major ports such as Rotterdam, Hamburg, Algeciras, and Antwerp. Belgian police found nearly 110 metric tons of cocaine in the latter last year alone.
