German shipowners slam government for inaction on carbon quotas

Just weeks before the EU ETS comes into force, German shipowners are calling for more decisive government action to get the necessary legislation in place.

Shipping will have to pay for CO2 emissions after the turn of the year, when the sector becomes part of the EU Emissions Trading System.
