ICS says a third of IMO member states support its climate levy proposal

Last week saw IMO member states agree a framework which involves a global fuel standard and an economic measure to achieve climate goals.

The International Chamber of Shipping (ICS), a trade association representing shipowners and operators, says it welcomes the progress made during ”intensive negotiations” at the International Maritime Organization’s climate meeting last week.
