South Korea's shipbuilders project a surge in orders in 2018

The major South Korean shipyards expect to win significantly more orders in 2018 than in recent years due to anticipations of a stronger shipping market, industry sources tell local news agency.

South Korea's three top shipbuilders – Hyundai Heavy Industries, Samsung Heavy Industries and Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) – have upgraded their order targets for 2018 big-time in light of expected positive developments in the shipping and offshore market.
