Wärtsilä expects higher demand in 2018

The Finnish engine manufacturer expects improved demand across the whole of 2018. Also for the marine division, which saw the appetite for orders undermined by low freight rates and struggled with overcapacity and a lack of financing among customers.

Last year, the order book grew for Finland's Wärtsilä, which for instance manufactures engines for the shipping industry.

For 2018, the supplier expects that demand will increase.
