Hyundai Heavy enters alliance to develop smart shipping

Hyundai Heavy Industries has signed a deal with a Swiss-based company aimed at strengthening digital solutions for ships, reports Yonhap.

South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) is now also targeting the large growth market that digitalization is expected to become in shipping.

The yard has signed a memorandum of understanding with Swiss engine manufacturer Winterthur Gas & Diesel Ltd aimed at strengthening smart shipping capacity in the sector, reports news agency Yonhap.
