Shipbuilder slapped with huge bill for conversion of hotel rig

Norwegian shipbuilder Westcon had demanded NOK 300 million in additional payments from Prosafe for converting a hotel rig, but the shipbuilder lost big-time.

Family-owned Norwegian shipbuilder Westcon has been sentenced to pay hotel rig company Prosafe NOK 344 million (USD 44.1 million) plus penalty rates and case costs totaling NOK 10.6 million, reports Dagens Næringsliv.
