Vale considers freezing dividends as a consequence of dam disaster in Brazil

The number of casualties is growing after one of Vale's dams in Brazil collapsed. Now, the mining giant is considering freezing dividend payments to shareholders and bonuses to the management of the company.

While the number of casualties continues to grow after the collapse of a dam owned by Brazil-based mining company Vale, the company's board of directors is now considering suspending dividend payments to shareholders and bonuses to management.
