South Korean yard hires new CEO ahead of merger

Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering is about to be merged with a South Korean competitor. While the transaction is pending official approval, the yard appoints a new CEO.

South Korean shipyard Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) is replacing its chief executive ahead of the planned merger with compatriot competitor Hyundai Heavy Industries, reports Yonhap News Agency.
