Keppel and DNV GL will promote the use of LNG as ship fuel

Norwegian classification bureau DNV GL and Singapore-based Keppel have formed a partnership aimed at promoting the use of LNG as fuel for the shipping industry.

Going forward, LNG will be a more prominent fuel source for the shipping sector, and this will require an upgrade of infrastructure in the field, say classification bureau DNV GL and Keppel Marine and Deepwater Technology, a subsidiary of Singapore-based shipbuilding group Keppel Offshore & Marine.
