Wärtsilä's marine division grows its order book

Marine activities boosted scrubber manufacturer Wärtsilä in the first three months of the year, where revenue as well as the combined order book grew. The impending sulfur regulations and orders for gas carriers helped.

Finnish scrubber manufacturer Wärtsilä's order book grew significantly in the first three months of the year, shows the company's results for the quarter, published Thursday.

By the end of March, the order book for the marine division stood at EUR 3.9 billion, up by 37 percent compared to the same period last year, when the order book came to EUR 2.8 billion.
