Samsung Heavy gets major order for 10 tankers

South Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries is to build 10 crude tanker vessels. The order was placed by an "Oceanian" customer and amounts to more than half a billion USD.

South Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries has received an order for 10 LNG-powered crude oil tanker vessels, the company informs.

The shipbuilder does not state the name of the customer but merely informs that it is an "Oceanian shipowner". The order is valued at KRW 751.3 billion (USD 621.3 million).
