Wärtsilä's marine president lists factors driving slowdown in scrubber orders

There are several reasons that demand for scrubbers at some of the world's largest suppliers has seen a major setback during 2019, assesses Roger Holm, president of marine solutions at Wärtsilä, to ShippingWatch.

The Finnish group has, like Sweden's Alfa Laval, seen lower interest for the exhaust-cleaning technology compared to last year. The halt comes in spite of the global sulfur cap being just around the corner, set to come into force in less than two months.
