Hyundai Heavy tries to reassure Singaporean authorities about merger

South Korean shipyard Hyundai Heavy Industries is trying to reassure Singapore's competition authorities about the shipbuilder's planned merger with competitor Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME), a spokesperson from Hyundai Heavy Industries tells Reuters.

Earlier this week, it emerged that Singapore's competition authority is questioning the two shipbuilders' merger plans.
