Wärtsilä expands business to include sale of rotor sails
Going forward, Finnish Wärtsiliä plans to service and sell rotor sails to the shipping industry to lower emissions from the vessels. The sails can be both retrofitted and used aboard newbuilds.
The shipping industry is pursuing several avenues to reduce its emissions and now Wärtsilä enters the fray with another potential solution to the problematic.
