Trafigura invests in development of MAN's ammonia engine

Commodity trader Trafigura joins in the development of a new engine powered by ammonia currently being developed by MAN Energy Solutions.

The two-stroke engine designed for large, ocean-going vessels, is expected to be commercially available by 2024 and will be followed by a retrofit package in 2025 that will enable existing maritime vessels to run on ammonia.
