BP plans to establish large-scale green hydrogen production

BP plans to establish large-scale production of what the company terms "green" hydrogen to the benefit of all forms of transport before 2025. The facility will lie in northern England.

By 2025, BP means to establish large-scale production of what the oil major terms "green" hydrogen in Teesside, northern England, the company writes in a press release.

The goal is to launch a production by 2025 with the initial phase having a capacity of around 60MWe. The final investment decision is expected to be made in 2023.
