Demand for bunker oil is increasing but Omicron is lurking on the horizon

An increasing demand for bunker oil bears witness to a comeback for the global economy, according to a bunker update from Ship & Bunker. However, Omicron could threaten the upturn.

The demand for bunker oil rose by 8.2 per cent in the third quarter compared with the same period a year ago, according to an analysis carried out by the consultancy company Blue Insight for Ship & Bunker.
