South Korea's three major yards have nearly achieved 2022 order targets

The three major shipbuilding groups in South Korea are close to reaching their full-year targets for new orders. The development is driven by a series of orders in one segment in particular.

South Korea’s three biggest yard groups are already well on their way to achieving their order targets for the year at this point.

Companies Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (KSOE), Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) and Samsung Heavy Industries have now secured as much as 87% of the orders aimed for at the year’s beginning, reports South Korean news agency Yonhap.
